The Pipeline

The Pipeline

Only two days until this glorious competition comes to a close and the 4 day waiting game until the announcement of the 6 finalists begins. It is incredibly exciting AND anxiety inducing.

However, the journey does not stop here.

I, for one, still have many projects and opportunities ahead of me which I can't wait to sink my teeth into, regardless of whether or not I am bestowed the great honour of being named one of the finalists or winners of My World Tour.

Here's just a little teaser of what I have lined up:

TRIPLE J INTERVIEW

Yesterday afternoon, Lucy Carter twittered a question about best/worst Big Day Out moments. I replied:

@lucethoughts Spending the day backstage 2004 walked/talked straight through security with an empty guitar case at 8am - AMAZING"

"@lucethoughts hung out w/ Mars Volta side of stage during Flaming Lips. Played pool with Drew Barrymore. Met James Hetfield"

Turns out she liked the sound of that story and is going to be interviewing me on Thursday or Friday!

LILY ALLEN

First major show of the year goes to the cheeky English songstress. I have been accredited by online music 'zine The Dwarf to photograph Lily's show at the Hordern Pavillion next week (21 Jan) in Sydney. I'm not the nasty paparazzi that you hate, Lily! I promise!

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

I purchased tickets (at cost price - no scalpers here!) from eBay after not having the cash to buy them through the official ticket outlets before her 2 shows at Sydney's iconic Metro Theatre sold out. I have been obsessed with the album Lungs since it was released. Looks like my camera will get another workout!

FAITH NO MORE

Easily my favourite band of all time. Nothing could describe the excitement that ran through my body when the news that the band had reformed had been confirmed by the band. We never thought it would happen. What I never thought would happen though, more importantly, was that I would get the opportunity to photograph this epic (pun intended) 5 piece - with, I might add, my photopasses being organised by none other than bass player Billy Gould, himself! *faints* So, it turns out that I will be capturing their historic Sydney return at the Soundwave Festival and the Hordern Pavillion in February. Dream come true.

That's just a little taste. So, if you're keen to keep track of my work beyond this competition, keep an eye on these sites:
