Hi, hope you are well and had great holidays… Did you get to check out any of the recent festivals?? Tis the season! O ya x I’m just dropping a line, in search of some likeminded others who would be keen, committed, collaborate and produce some major events among the music and entertainment industry in OZ… (One of my events gained a position in the Smirnoff’s Promoters Grant short-list. Refer to my profile page for exp, history, skills etc www.myworldtour.com.au/4sound) I’ve been involved in ‘various music scenes’ for years, resulting to collections of relevant info, knowledge, market research and identification of new market spaces and there is room for growth in the industry! We are in an important time in our music industry, considering the rapid technology changes, music and genre exposure through airplay, festival line-ups etc, social networking, communication, revenue outlets, support etc! Within these accesses and settings, new enhancements can be formed…. Too cut a long story short, I’m looking for a selected few serious, people to join me in a group and conduct some major plans via events and the entertainment industry. The team is basically like a dedicated band, everyone has similar goals and objectives to achieve the same results and work equally as hard to get there quickly. Well you've really nailed it! I have to say that your work and effort on here should definitely not go unnoticed by the judges. I wish I'd found this comp sooner than one week ago but in any case I've made a few videos and had a fairly awesome go at it but you should be really proud of yourself. I am actually quite a huge fan of Amy Vee and am shocked and saddened that more people don't know her music and phenomenal voice. But I think you did a great piece on her and you both came across really relaxed. All the best... oh and can I ask, what program you edit in and camera you used? Best of luck Sir.

Yeah competition has been great, good place to meet lots of interesting & likeminded people. I'm definitely no where near as experienced as most people on here. Next year, although I'd love to be travelling around the world, I think it will just be back to uni to finish my architecture degree, keep going to gigs around melbourne and reviewing for the website (www.indigo4music.com) and hastling venues for my own gigs ! :P How about you? Yeah things are pretty good on this end! Very busy juggling everything but getting it all done (just!). It certainly is different being in front of the camera when you're so used to be behind the lens but I must say, I do enjoy both. A few "drunks", I mean drinks(!) sure help, ha!

Haha I suppose that is true, while everyone else is going back to work you can be relaxing and partying and rubbing it in their faces. Hehe. Sounds good, what kind of musical projects do you want to be working on? Pretty much in 2010, I'd like to get my own website running, making my own little webzine of all the reviews and interviews I do, see how it goes and maybe add some people to the team if the first year goes well. Am also starting to seriously look at places to sell my articles to and getting into contact with some magazines seeing about internships or jobs =) Am hoping the Drum Media editor gets back to me with good news next month! Fair call! I find this place impossible to keep up to date with. We need some sort of linear organisation, plus it wouldn't hurt to have a place where people can have fluent e-conversations.

As much as I enjoy the whole blogging aspect (from a writers perspective), I find that 1) peoples MWT incarnation don't necessarily equate to their normal persona, and 2) the fact that everything is so scattered/hard to keep up with here kind of fractures the bond that I would share with other blogs outside of MWT that I frequent. I like accessibility. It's my frieeend.

Basically, I'm a freak when it comes to being organised. This place kills me. I decided to be proactive about it.

so i've been in this comp since the start. before the whole, 'number of profile views' thing. does the number of profile views actually influence the judges' decision? do those top six with the most profile views become the finalists? pretty sure my blogs are worthy!

Oh well I guess all we can do is keep blogging and keep updating and hope that this public voting system works a little better :)

So the counter thing. I'm really not sure if it works or not. I'm starting to get the impression that it only counts views by people registered in the competition as I've had quite a few friends checking my page as well as others and it seems that none of the counts go up and then the nexdt day it might have only gone up one or two. That said there's something like 3500 people competing now so this leads to the question, how are the judges going to shortlist for the public vote. Does this mean people who started late are already excluded because they fall way back on views or are they going to check every single entry??? We'll all see soon enough I guess.

the everlasting weekend really is everlasting. It's still going...heading out tonight infact hahaha i am sporting a mighty fne husky voice. Whilst it hurts a little, I know I'm giving Darwin a special treat. Some ppl pay to hear a husky voice, they hear it for free during the work day on the station I work for haha As for the move to Melbourne, I am so excited about it because Melbourne is home but I want to live in Sydney one day...just for work reasons.
